# Observe listing prices

> Track observations with a bounded request budget.

Use `GET /v1/scrape` with `sold=false` to observe active listings. Choose a fixed marketplace, keyword, and count. Store each observation with item ID, displayed price, currency, condition, warnings, and retrieval timestamp.

Use a fresh idempotency key for each scheduled observation; reuse it only if retrying that observation. Set an explicit daily budget before adding pages or item lookups. Deduplicate listings without discarding observation history.

Compare like-for-like listings and currencies. A missing listing may have ended, moved, or become unavailable; it does not prove a sale. Send alerts from your own application after applying your own review rules.
